Lynne Germany joined the Walden Wavez Family as our Head Coach in 2009 (retired 2017) and since that day she has impacted the lives of hundreds of swimmers and families. Her care and compassion for each swimmer is noticeable but it is her specific way she makes every swimmer feel like one of her own children as she smiles, cheers them on, encourages and loves on them each day.

Lynne is an educator to her core and cares deeply for children and their learning. It is with this love a passion for education that the Executive Board of the Walden Wavez is pleased to announce the creation of the Lynne Germany Senior Scholarship.

This Scholarship will be handed out each year to a Graduating Senior Walden Wavez Swimmer to help defray some of the cost of pursuing a 2 or 4-year college degree.

Our goal is to honor Lynne and her values for education. Swimmers will qualify and be selected by a committee on the basis of:

• Multiple year swimmer with the Walden Wavez
• Involved in multiple school or community activities outside of the Walden Wavez
• Outstanding role model for other swimmers in and out of the water
• Service oriented student
• Time and effort put back into the team
• Displays acts of kindness and care for others
• A written essay describing what this scholarship would mean to them

It is with distinct honor and pleasure that we carry on Lynne’s passion for education and her love of children.
